Andreas Grep fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Garriga having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Edgardo Blondel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rigoberto Garriga. That made the score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. Colo-Colo's Rigoberto Garriga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Colo-Colo from getting a goal against them. Rigoberto Garriga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Blondel, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. A collision led to Colo-Colo getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Mario Alberto Bermejo hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Ermegildo Gerbella's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rigoberto Garriga was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. After 35 minutes, Ermegildo Gerbella made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Colo-Colo's Rigoberto Garriga tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 38 minutes into the match, Ermegildo Gerbella notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Colo-Colo's Rigoberto Garriga. Rigoberto Garriga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diego Lucero to make the kick off. Edgardo Blondel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Garriga having to interfere. In the 62nd minute Honorio Mas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Garriga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgardo Blondel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Garriga having to interfere. After some careless play in the Colo-Colo defense, Ermegildo Gerbella kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rigoberto Garriga. The Colo-Colo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rigoberto Garriga should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Ermegildo Gerbella sped through Colo-Colo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rigoberto Garriga. 72 minutes into the game, Diego Lucero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Colo-Colo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Torreones the free kick. Diego Lucero hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Rigoberto Garriga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andreas Grep in the 76th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Edgardo Blondel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rigoberto Garriga was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. Rigoberto Garriga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Grep, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After a rather tough play, Colo-Colo's Diego Lucero got a free kick in the 85th minute. Rigoberto Garriga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andreas Grep's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. 95 minutes into the match, Colo-Colo's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Blondel came free, but Rigoberto Garriga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rigoberto Garriga didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Los Torreones's Ermegildo Gerbella shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 11-0 in the ordered_time% minute. When the referee ended the match the Los Torreones players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
