Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fulgencio Gatica kicked off to start the match. Teofilo Pozo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fulgencio Gatica in the 4th minute of the match. A collision led to Baltilocos getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Jordi Jofre hit a great ball. 8 minutes into the match, Baltilocos's goal looked a bit too open when Fulgencio Gatica came free, but Teofilo Pozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 10 minutes, Manuel Murillo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Baltilocos and the Quinaco players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 10 played minutes Baltilocos got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Murillo. 14 minutes into the match, Quinaco's goal looked a bit too open when Valentín Pimienta came free, but Matias Parker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Baltilocos's zone, Fulgencio Gatica stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teofilo Pozo came out of the goal and Fulgencio Gatica tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcel Badiola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th match minute, Baltilocos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hilario Ortuño to maneuver through the defense. Edgardo Dawson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Matias Parker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Quinaco's Marcel Badiola sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teofilo Pozo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jordi Jofre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Matias Parker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Quinaco defense, Edgardo Dawson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matias Parker. The Quinaco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matias Parker should have stopped the shot. If Fulgencio Gatica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Quinaco's Matias Parker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Dawson in the 34th minute of play. After having played for 35 minutes, Edgardo Dawson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baltilocos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgardo Dawson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matias Parker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentín Pimienta, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Faustino Ortuño hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute, Pietro Borghi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Quinaco players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Baltilocos were winning 0-1.
A collision led to Baltilocos getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Baldomiro Ancieta hit a great ball. After 58 played minutes Quinaco got a freekick which was hit by Fulgencio Gatica. If Jordi Jofre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edgardo Dawson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Matias Parker skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Quinaco's defense didn't have a chance, in the 63rd minute, when Valentín Pimienta scored to the left of an out of position Matias Parker, making the score, 0-2. In the 66th match minute, Baltilocos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Murillo to maneuver through the defense. Odol Passi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Teofilo Pozo. Baltilocos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 72nd match minute, Baltilocos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomiro Ancieta to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Baltilocos's Julio-César Galaz got a free kick in the 74th minute. Marcel Badiola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute, Edgardo Dawson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fulgencio Gatica recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgardo Dawson got free with Matias Parker in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Through an outstanding action, after 88 minutes, Matias Parker successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Valentín Pimienta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Baltilocos could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Quinaco throughout the match.
