In the 13th match minute, Caigua FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquin Valles to maneuver through the defense. When Lucián Noguera came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Caigua FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucián Noguera couldn't finish the play. If Lucián Noguera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amado Franco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Máximo Bustamante's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Amado Franco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silviano Manso de Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Salamón Aros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 34 minutes, Maurino Inzunza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pumiri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurino Inzunza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Caigua FC's Jesus Tordesillas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Caigua FC from getting a goal against them. The nice shot from Maurino Inzunza in the 50thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Jesus Tordesillas had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Salamón Aros to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Maurino Inzunza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Lucián Noguera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caigua FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucián Noguera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amado Franco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lucián Noguera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amado Franco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Pumiri's goal looked a bit too open when Máximo Bustamante came free, but Amado Franco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amado Franco came out of the goal in the 99th minute to try and stop a shot by Caigua FC's Lucián Noguera. But to his dismay, Lucián Noguera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1.
