Spectators: 6696 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1696, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Victoriano Troncoso kicked off to start the match. After 2 played minutes Hornitos AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jeremías Lea. In the 4th match minute, Hornitos AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremías Lea to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the game, Victoriano Troncoso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Demesio Canal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pere Jordi Solabarrieta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Pere Jordi Solabarrieta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeremías Lea charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeremías Lea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st minute, Jeremías Lea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matau's Plácido Asencio shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 32nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Diego Armando Allison but with some difficulty. Matau's Demesio Canal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pere Jordi Solabarrieta in the 36th minute of play. If Haroldo Almonacid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victoriano Troncoso in the 41st minute of play forced Matau's goalkeeper Demesio Canal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pere Jordi Solabarrieta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Pere Jordi Solabarrieta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Hornitos AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

55 minutes into the match, Hornitos AFC's Victoriano Troncoso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Demesio Canal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Diego Armando Allison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Almonacid, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. A collision led to Hornitos AFC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Abner Calvo hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hornitos AFC's zone, Plácido Asencio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Armando Allison came out of the goal and Plácido Asencio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Pere Jordi Solabarrieta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pere Jordi Solabarrieta's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Demesio Canal skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Demesio Canal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victoriano Troncoso in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th minute, one of Matau:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Matau. Victoriano Troncoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Demesio Canal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Pere Jordi Solabarrieta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Hornitos AFC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Jeremías Lea hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute, Leopoldo Ayarza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Plácido Asencio charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Plácido Asencio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 98 played minutes Matau got a freekick which was hit by Plácido Asencio. Hornitos AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
