The crowd rose to their feet as Donato Araneda kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Félix Puelles. That made the score 1-0 in the 35 minute of play. In the 41st minute Dionisio Pfingsthorn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Nieto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 43 minutes of play, Challupen's Xulián Meneses made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leonides Nieto was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 47 played minutes Amazaca FC got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Antonio Arnault. After having played for 48 minutes, Xulián Meneses managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Challupen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xulián Meneses was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dionisio Pfingsthorn to strike the kick off in the second half. Donato Araneda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Xulián Meneses had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Challupen walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
