The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xaime Olguín stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Andreo Fedeghelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Guailla AFC booed when Tatara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rexino Masoli didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andreo Fedeghelli in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lázaro Avalos saved Tatara from getting behind. Juan Ignacio Marticorena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nacho Badilla in the 60th minute. In the 69th minute, Andreo Fedeghelli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lázaro Avalos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreo Fedeghelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lázaro Avalos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xaime Olguín's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Xaime Olguín fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lázaro Avalos having to interfere. Nacho Badilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Xaime Olguín had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
