In the 20th minute, Hugo Orlando Gramusset got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 23 minutes into the match, Coinco's goal looked a bit too open when Heliodoro Tabilo came free, but Victorino Potts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Matias Tellerias cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Bruno Osorio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Coinco booed when ColoColo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Santa Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bruno Osorio came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Coinco's Teofilo Duguid. But to his dismay, Teofilo Duguid quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Coinco's zone, Hugo Orlando Gramusset stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victorino Potts came out of the goal and Hugo Orlando Gramusset tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Heliodoro Tabilo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Victorino Potts made a huge save. After 40 played minutes Coinco got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Otero. The audience thought a goal was coming when Heliodoro Tabilo got free with Victorino Potts in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teofilo Duguid during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 42 played minutes Coinco got a freekick which was hit by Teofilo Duguid. Carlos Resende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorino Potts having to interfere. Carlos Resende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Bruno Osorio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilo Duguid in the 52nd minute of play. Victorino Potts came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by ColoColo FC's Carlos Resende. But to his dismay, Carlos Resende quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. 66 minutes into the match, ColoColo FC's goalkeeper Bruno Osorio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matias Tellerias. If Matias Tellerias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Howell Clements kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Matias Tellerias blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruno Osorio having to make a save. Carlos Resende scored 4-2 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victorino Potts, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Matias Tellerias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Bruno Osorio made a huge save. If Matias Tellerias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute Samuel Santa Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorino Potts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute, Carlos Resende left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ColoColo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. Inocente Tous hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Matias Tellerias succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 5-3 in the 89th playminute. Hugo Orlando Gramusset fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorino Potts having to interfere.
