Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Silvestre Garretón started the match with the kick off. 7 minutes into the match, Caletones AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Yoel Potts came free, but Filipo Zuburu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Filipo Zuburu managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Universidad de chile's Silvestre Garretón fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mercé Schneider got free with Filipo Zuburu in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lucero Suloaga kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Filipo Zuburu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Archibaldo Gallo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nazario Gumucio in the 18th minute of play forced Universidad de chile's goalkeeper Alcadio Lemos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd match minute, Caletones AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucio Ackermann to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute, Universidad de chile's Silvestre Garretón fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal, but it hit the crossbar and went out into the crowd. After having played for 28 minutes, Nazario Gumucio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caletones AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nazario Gumucio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Caletones AFC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Lucio Ackermann hit a great ball. Silvestre Garretón received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Filipo Zuburu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 41 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Caletones AFC! Filipo Zuburu went to the wrong direction when Roy Tabilo was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Filipo Zuburu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Archibaldo Gallo. The supporters of Caletones AFC booed when Universidad de chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mercé Schneider didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nazario Gumucio to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Yoel Potts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipo Zuburu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patxi Cox's late challenge caught a Universidad de chile's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patxi Cox helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Caletones AFC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Patxi Cox hit a great ball. Filipo Zuburu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvestre Garretón, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After 63 minutes, Aníbal Campaña mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caletones AFC and the Universidad de chile players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 63rd minute, one of Caletones AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Caletones AFC. Silvestre Garretón fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipo Zuburu having to interfere. Yoel Potts scored 3-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filipo Zuburu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 75 played minutes, Universidad de chile's Taurino Morillo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Filipo Zuburu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Universidad de chile reached it. In the 77th minute of the match Taurino Morillo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Filipo Zuburu skillfully saved the ball. Filipo Zuburu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvestre Garretón in the 78th minute of the match. Caletones AFC's Odilón Arratia got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Yoel Potts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nazario Gumucio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alcadio Lemos having to interfere. Yoel Potts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
