Lino Arestizabal hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. If Manuelo Bafalluy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 22 minutes of play Panulcillo's Lino Arestizabal was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Panulcillo getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Lino Arestizabal hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, Panulcillo's goalkeeper Stefano Callejas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manuelo Bafalluy. In the 25th minute of the match Colupito FC got a corner. Panulcillo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rosalio Guichard ran over to the corner to take the kick. Colupito FC's Rosalio Guichard was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Stefano Callejas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Valerio Cattalán showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaspar Chacon, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Abelardo Rechivichi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valerio Cattalán having to make a save. Manuelo Bafalluy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefano Callejas having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Rechivichi in the 38th minute of play forced Colupito FC's goalkeeper Valerio Cattalán to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Manuelo Bafalluy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Manuelo Bafalluy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colupito FC's goalkeeper Valerio Cattalán, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With his leg Valerio Cattalán managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Panulcillo's Abelardo Rechivichi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Abelardo Rechivichi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mario Jesus Mosca's late challenge caught a Panulcillo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mario Jesus Mosca helped the player get up and apologised. Mario Jesus Mosca kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. When Gaspar Chacon fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panulcillo's protests and gave Gaspar Chacon a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th minute, Gaspar Chacon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Colupito FC's Mario Jesus Mosca got his second yellow card of the match in the 70th minute. The referee ordered Mario Jesus Mosca off the ground.
