In the 6th match minute, Cholchol AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lois Jurado to maneuver through the defense. Mariscadero AFC's Cristofer Dinarte couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 8th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cholchol AFC. After 13 played minutes Mariscadero AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rogelio Bertiz. After 18 minutes of play, Cholchol AFC's Ramón Ansaldo made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manuel Arrué was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 20 played minutes Cholchol AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gaston Delpín. Ramón Ansaldo's late challenge caught a Mariscadero AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ramón Ansaldo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Mariscadero AFC booed when Cholchol AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramón Ansaldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manuel Arrué made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Carrera in the 27th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Mariscadero AFC's Rogelio Bertiz got a free kick in the 28th minute. Ramón Ansaldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Arrué having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of Mariscadero AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cholchol AFC:s goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Quintén Seraín to make the kick off. Rogelio Bertiz charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rogelio Bertiz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ramón Ansaldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Arrué having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Ramón Ansaldo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cholchol AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramón Ansaldo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Arrué breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There was no doubt that Cholchol AFC were the better team. Cholchol AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
