Spectators: 6799 (Terracing: 5549, Seating: 1150, VIP seats: 100) Chiapa's Abdón Lisboa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Enrico Hardy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loreto Bolaños in the 4th minute of the match. Lázaro Najera hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Nicanor Aguila hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Loreto Bolaños received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Enrico Hardy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mocopulli's José Javier Villela proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Mocopulli from getting a goal against them. Chiapa's Nicanor Aguila got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nicanor Aguila did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised José Javier Villela 35 minutes into the match. Abdón Lisboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Javier Villela having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Florín Budinich to strike the kick off in the second half. If Abdón Lisboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute, Abdón Lisboa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Mocopulli's Enrico Hardy threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Florín Budinich, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Florín Budinich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrico Hardy having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mocopulli's Loreto Bolaños got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute, Florín Budinich got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rafael Villanueva charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafael Villanueva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd minute, Rafael Villanueva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute, Chiapa's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Loreto Bolaños fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Mocopulli's zone, Abdón Lisboa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Javier Villela came out of the goal and Abdón Lisboa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chiapa's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Florín Budinich scored to the left of an out of position Enrico Hardy, making the score, 1-2. In the 83rd minute, Abdón Lisboa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Javier Villela was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After 94 played minutes Mocopulli got a freekick which was hit by Prudentio Sirens. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
