The referee ignored Franco-Canadiense's protests and gave Carlos Hernán Chavez a yellow card for diving instead. Carlos Hernán Chavez hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Bautista Mallet's late challenge caught a Cahuil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
