In the 35th minute, Marco Cumplido got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Hernán Chavez charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Valentino Robles was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Octavio Fanta to strike the kick off in the second half. Marco Cumplidos short, quick shot in the 96thth minute got Quentín Partarrieu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
