The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Genaro Antúnez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Genaro Antúnez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amador Brizuela, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Delfino Granados got free with Leopoldo Jacinto Tejo in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute, Selmo Sáez fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Leopoldo Jacinto Tejo, passed just outside the right post. Candido Thomas struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Genaro Antúnez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belgrano CBA. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Selmo Sáez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Candido Thomas got free with Genaro Antúnez in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Delfino Granados fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Jacinto Tejo having to interfere. Genaro Antúnez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amador Brizuela in the 57th minute of the match. After 58 played minutes Guatanave got a freekick which was hit by Manolo Ballero. Candido Thomas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genaro Antúnez having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Belgrano CBA's Guido Solminihac got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Belgrano CBA's goalkeeper Leopoldo Jacinto Tejo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Amador Brizuela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Candido Thomas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Genaro Antúnez made a huge save. Genaro Antúnez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amador Brizuela in the 79th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delfino Granados in the 85th minute of play forced Belgrano CBA's goalkeeper Leopoldo Jacinto Tejo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 87 minutes, Delfino Granados managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guatanave's supporters crossed their fingers, but Delfino Granados was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Belgrano CBA getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Christian Sadin hit a great ball. Leopoldo Jacinto Tejo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Selmo Sáez, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 92nd minute of the game. One of Guatanave:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Belgrano CBA:s goal. Guatanave's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
