After a rather tough play, CSD Colo Colo's Manuelo Chadwick got a free kick in the 15th minute. With his leg Dante Chao managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Guatanave's Alfonso Ibarra fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 28th minute Adelmo Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Antúnez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Selmo Sáez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guatanave's Genaro Antúnez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaiás Elorreaga in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelmo Pardo in the 34th minute of play forced Guatanave's goalkeeper Genaro Antúnez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Chao stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Selmo Sáez's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Alfonso Ibarra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Dante Chao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Selmo Sáez made the kick off in the second half. Delfino Granados received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Dante Chao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, CSD Colo Colo's Manuelo Chadwick got a free kick in the 56th minute. Selmo Sáez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
