Guatacondo's Celino Medina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaiás Trumbull in the 3rd minute of play. In the 26th minute, Elizalde Olivares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilesindo Bilbao hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute, Leonardo Akiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Inocencio Alzaga was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Alessandro Di Filippo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guatacondo's supporters rose to their feet, but Alessandro Di Filippo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Inocencio Alzaga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 40 played minutes The Hammers CL got a freekick which was hit by Orlondón Píriz. Leonardo Akiva kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After the first half Guatacondo were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alessandro Di Filippo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Guatacondo were awarded a corner. Belmiro Cavalcante went to the cornerflag to take it. Alessandro Di Filippo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inocencio Alzaga having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Giancarlo Méndez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alessandro Di Filippo took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Inocencio Alzaga. Inocencio Alzaga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. A collision led to The Hammers CL getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Rafael Harriet hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Guatacondo's Leonardo Akiva got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 81st minute, Elizalde Olivares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isaiás Trumbull received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Celino Medina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute of the match Héctor Lopetegui shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Celino Medina showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 90 minutes into the match, The Hammers CL's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Akiva came free, but Inocencio Alzaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guatacondo's Leonardo Akiva got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Modestio Ustariz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guatacondo's supporters rose to their feet, but Modestio Ustariz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Inocencio Alzaga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Guatacondo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
