The Manzano FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebastián Panussi should have stopped the shot. When Uriel Abbott fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tiquina's protests and gave Uriel Abbott a yellow card for diving instead. Manzano FC's Sebastián Panussi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leoncio Echazarreta in the 17th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Manzano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Salvatore Bañados came free, but Sebastián Panussi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marín Balmaceda charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marín Balmaceda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Manzano FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Marín Balmaceda hit a great ball. In the 24th minute, Salvatore Bañados hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alex Bettini kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leoncio Echazarreta in the 27th minute of play forced Manzano FC's goalkeeper Sebastián Panussi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manzano FC's Esequiel Novoa got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 32 minutes, Leopoldo Jacinto Forster managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tiquina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leopoldo Jacinto Forster was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adalberto Serna kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adalberto Serna during the 39th minute. Sebastián Panussi had in the 45thth minute some difficulties stopping Ariel Keuter's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Ariel Keuter did an outstanding performance 45 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 0-2 to the right of an irritated Sebastián Panussi in the goal. After the first half Tiquina were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leopoldo Jacinto Forster was the one to do the kick off. Sebastián Panussi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvatore Bañados, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Sergio Danitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Leoncio Echazarreta could shoot a difficult shot in the 63rd minute, which Sebastián Panussi however easily saved by the left post. In the 65th minute, Alex Bettini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manzano FC's Sergio Danitz got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leoncio Echazarreta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sebastián Panussi having to make a save. After 73 played minutes Manzano FC got a freekick which was hit by Adalberto Serna. In the 74th minute, Leopoldo Jacinto Forster got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adalberto Serna hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Patxi Hoevel hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Tiquina's Ariel Keuter shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 81st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Sebastián Panussi but with some difficulty. Alex Bettini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastián Panussi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Jacinto Forster, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute, Esequiel Novoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leopoldo Jacinto Forster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastián Panussi having to interfere. The supporters of Manzano FC booed when Tiquina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Martín Couve didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Tiquina left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Manzano FC.
