Spectators: 6703 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1703, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pinone Seisdedos started the match with the kick off. Vincente Llamllam who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Zenón Morillo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Zenón Morillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pinone Seisdedos, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Pinone Seisdedos took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zenón Morillo. Zenón Morillo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Vincente Llamllam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zenón Morillo having to interfere. When Pinone Seisdedos came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Lanco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pinone Seisdedos couldn't finish the play. Vincente Llamllam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute, Roberto Alessandri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chumelden fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Felipo Pacull came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Chumelden's Cosme Burgoa. But to his dismay, Cosme Burgoa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Naelio Sáez kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chumelden's goalkeeper Zenón Morillo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cosme Burgoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute, Pinone Seisdedos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zenón Morillo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Felipo Pacull took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Alessandri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Francisco Antonio Jofre hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Lanco's Felipo Pacull proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Lanco from getting a goal against them. Felipo Pacull tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zenón Morillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincente Llamllam in the 62nd minute of the match. Roberto Alessandri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Felipo Pacull tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Roberto Alessandri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chumelden's supporters rose to their feet, but Roberto Alessandri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felipo Pacull breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zenón Morillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pinone Seisdedos in the 72nd minute of play. If Pinone Seisdedos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Lanco booed when Chumelden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliazar Maroto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pinone Seisdedos struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Zenón Morillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lanco. 2-3 became the score in the 80th minute when Roberto Alessandri elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 83rd minute Roberto Alessandri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipo Pacull saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Roberto Alessandri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 90 played minutes Lanco got a freekick which was hit by Julio Portusagasti. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 96th minute of the game. One of Lanco:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chumelden:s goal. The Chumelden supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chumelden would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
