In the 30th match minute, Chaucahue was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romano Fell to maneuver through the defense. Metrenco's Estebano Ugas got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Jeremías Serna came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Metrenco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeremías Serna couldn't finish the play. After 46 played minutes Metrenco got a freekick which was hit by Rosalio Peronard. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Damario Beauchef received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Tinguaro Esteban tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Metrenco's Estebano Ugas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tinguaro Esteban narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
