Clemente Bacheler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ursino Iparraguirre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xavián Backhouse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. José Julio Gallegos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute Enrique Mariano Bout shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Julio Gallegos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clemente Bacheler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ursino Iparraguirre in the 14th minute of play. If Victoriano Zegarra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ursino Iparraguirre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pere Pinaud hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Kingüin's Clemente Bacheler threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ursino Iparraguirre, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Firmín Acosta took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Clemente Bacheler. Audax Italiano's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 45th minute, Ursino Iparraguirre got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ursino Iparraguirre stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With his leg José Julio Gallegos managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Audax Italiano's Xavián Backhouse fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Kingüin's Victoriano Zegarra in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Audax Italiano's goalie prevented a goal. In the 58th minute, Enrique Mariano Bout reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of José Julio Gallegos. The goal made the score 0-1. In the 72nd minute, Enrique Mariano Bout got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Enrique Mariano Bout struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. José Julio Gallegos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Audax Italiano. Pere Pinaud hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. If Ursino Iparraguirre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Kingüin booed when Audax Italiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Bezanilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juan Pedro Lanas kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. 93 minutes into the game, Enrique Mariano Bout recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of José Julio Gallegos. Enrique Mariano Bout showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Audax Italiano had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
