Sansón Mac Donald came out of the goal and Haroldo Ruedi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vincente Avalos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobo Manzur in the 40th minute of play. Leonardo Mandujano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vincente Avalos made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Leonardo Mandujano sent off a good shot on target. Marcos Francisco Gaviño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Sansón Mac Donald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

José Julio Mac Gill kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Llaguepe's Abraham Urtubia tried to score from far away in the 86th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Sansón Mac Donald showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Francisco Gaviño, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. If Haroldo Ruedi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Llaguepe's Marcos Francisco Gaviño got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Llaguepe's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
