Spectators: 6696 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1696, VIP seats: 0) Renaca FC's Alfonso Balart started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Romeo Frontaura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristóbal Bezanilla struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Carlos Hoefler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Renaca FC. Romano Otero kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. When Alfonso Balart came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Renaca FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfonso Balart couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Renaca FC booed when Longovilo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Calvo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Renaca FC's Manuelo Larrañaga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Renaca FC from getting a goal against them. In the 27th minute, Emilio Felipe Rabe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute of the match Américo Varas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Hoefler skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Longovilo FC's zone, Alfonso Balart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Hoefler came out of the goal and Alfonso Balart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Cristóbal Bezanilla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Renaca FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristóbal Bezanilla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Hoefler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfonso Balart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Carlos Hoefler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Longovilo FC's Adrián Cavada broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Cristóbal Bezanilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Carlos Hoefler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfonso Balart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Hoefler having to interfere. Henrico Galmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Hoefler having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romeo Frontaura to make the kick off. Cristóbal Bezanilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Hoefler having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Alfonso Balart got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Alfonso Balart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Manuelo Larrañaga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romano Otero in the 65th minute of the match. In the 67th minute Romano Otero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuelo Larrañaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romano Otero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuelo Larrañaga having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Longovilo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Balart came free, but Carlos Hoefler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Cristóbal Bezanilla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlos Hoefler. Longovilo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristóbal Bezanilla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Longovilo FC's Carlos Hoefler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonso Balart in the 82nd minute of play. Carlos Hoefler made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Cristóbal Bezanilla sent off a good shot on target. Romano Otero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manuelo Larrañaga having to make a save. If Romeo Frontaura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Renaca FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
