He walked away shaking his head. When Victoriano Ayarza came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Cardillos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victoriano Ayarza couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Chivi Changas FC's Demetrio Hagedorn got a free kick in the 12th minute. Jose Manuel Allende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo Farreras in the 16th minute of the match. Victoriano Ayarza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jose Manuel Allende read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Erasmo Farreras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Manuel Allende having to interfere. Cardillos's Norino Orsterhont played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miren Canal in the 24th minute of play. Jose Manuel Allende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erasmo Farreras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 34 minutes, Podador Monzón mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cardillos and the Chivi Changas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 34 played minutes Cardillos got a freekick which was hit by Podador Monzón. The long shot by Amadeo Florido in the 35th minute really tested Norino Orsterhont's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Victoriano Ayarza came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Cardillos fans jumped to their feet. After 43 played minutes Chivi Changas FC got a freekick which was hit by Amadeo Florido. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 67th minute, Miren Canal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cardillos's Norino Orsterhont played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miren Canal in the 69th minute of play. If Miren Canal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chivi Changas FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
