Spectators: 6709 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1709, VIP seats: 0) Quemchi's Domingo Couve started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Magdaleno Liendo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Narcomillo Malherbe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Abanico were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after Quemchi's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Selmo Avendaño took the corner. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rexino Roquant during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 12 played minutes Abanico got a freekick which was hit by Magdaleno Liendo. Fausto Vizcaya was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 13th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Quemchi's Maurino Soudre in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Abanico's goalie prevented a goal. After 17 minutes of play, Quemchi's Domingo Couve made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fidelio Pfingsthorn was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Maurino Soudre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurino Soudre in the 26th minute of play forced Abanico's goalkeeper Fidelio Pfingsthorn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Abanico's Omar Iribarren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Narcomillo Malherbe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Narcomillo Malherbe made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Omar Iribarren sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Israel Talavera's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Narcomillo Malherbe was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Omar Iribarren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Israel Talavera made a kick off. Omar Iribarren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Abanico's Selmo Avendaño got a free kick in the 55th minute. Israel Talavera might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Narcomillo Malherbe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Israel Talavera ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Omar Iribarren put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Narcomillo Malherbe. Quemchi's Narcomillo Malherbe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Iribarren in the 62nd minute of play. 64 minutes into the game, Virgilio Diaz Montero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quemchi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Abanico the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 63rd minute of the game. One of Quemchi:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Abanico:s goal. In the 65th minute there was a penalty for Abanico. Selmo Avendaño stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Narcomillo Malherbe. 2-2. If Maurino Soudre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maurino Soudre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Israel Talavera in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Narcomillo Malherbe saved Quemchi from getting behind. Quemchi's Domingo Couve was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 91st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 95 played minutes Quemchi got a freekick which was hit by Miliano Andina. Omar Iribarren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Quemchi's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
