The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Virgilio Valdivia during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 40 played minutes Cuculer got a freekick which was hit by Virgilio Valdivia. 42 minutes into the game, Lucio Jose María Ibarbia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Darío Guevara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eustaquio Turres's late challenge caught a Cuculer's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Txomin Wirth to strike the kick off in the second half. Laurín Ferari blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Darío Guevara having to make a save. ColoAlbo Por Cristo's José Urrea got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, ColoAlbo Por Cristo's Albino Urriola got control of the ball when Rodolfo Makaus tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 59th minute, Lucio Jose María Ibarbia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Darío Guevara was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 65th minute Lucio Jose María Ibarbia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darío Guevara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Lucio Jose María Ibarbia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Darío Guevara. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laurín Ferari couldn't finish the play. Lucio Jose María Ibarbia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Darío Guevara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Laurín Ferari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. ColoAlbo Por Cristo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laurín Ferari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Laurín Ferari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucio Jose María Ibarbia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darío Guevara having to interfere. Soriano Schele hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. ColoAlbo Por Cristo's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
