Negrete's Cresenciano Rio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brian Campos in the 21st minute of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Justo Arnault managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Negrete's supporters crossed their fingers, but Justo Arnault was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Echedey Searle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabricio Sierra in the 24th minute of the match. The supporters of Negrete booed when Las Condes Azul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miliano Angel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Las Condes Azul's Echedey Searle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justo Arnault in the 30th minute of play. Diego Wittemberg charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Las Condes Azul's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Fabricio Sierra scored 0-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Echedey Searle, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justo Arnault in the 43rd minute of play forced Las Condes Azul's goalkeeper Echedey Searle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Las Condes Azul's Echedey Searle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabricio Sierra in the 45th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In a very dangerous position, a player in Las Condes Azul fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! Diego Wittemberg was shown his second yellow card after 101 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.
