Martin Parot kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Emilio Felipe Carrillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Aulestia in the 11th minute of play. Emilio Felipe Carrillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honorio Aulestia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Vinicio Gorostizaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colchagua's goalkeeper Emilio Felipe Carrillo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 20 played minutes Pamputa got a freekick which was hit by Andolín Calzada. After having played for 21 minutes, Modesto Leese managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colchagua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Modesto Leese was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roldán Urtaza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Miguel Lasa having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Honorio Aulestia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Colchagua's Roldán Urtaza got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee showed Modesto Leese the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 57 played minutes Colchagua got a freekick which was hit by Modesto Leese. 58 minutes into the game, Modesto Leese cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Juan Miguel Lasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With his leg Juan Miguel Lasa managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Colchagua's Modesto Leese fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Emilio Felipe Carrillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Aulestia in the 64th minute of play. A collision led to Colchagua getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Martin Parot hit a great ball. In the 66th minute, Juan Jesus Baesler sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Colchagua's Emilio Felipe Carrillo didn't even have to move. Pamputa's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Roldán Urtaza scored to the left of an out of position Juan Miguel Lasa, making the score, 0-2. If Honorio Aulestia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vinicio Gorostizaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilio Felipe Carrillo having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Colchagua had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
