The referee showed Casimír Crespo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Choroico AFC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Casimír Crespo hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the game, Honorio Walton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Choroico AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quintay AFC the free kick. Bernardo Besa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelino Guardas having to interfere. Gabino Patterson's late challenge caught a Choroico AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabino Patterson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Choroico AFC booed when Quintay AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabino Patterson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aristides Illanes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Choroico AFC's Esteban Carnevalli got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aristides Illanes to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Quintay AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Aristides Illanes came free, but Angelino Guardas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aristides Illanes in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelino Guardas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aristides Illanes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelino Guardas having to interfere. If Bernardo Besa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the game, Timeteo Mallorquin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quintay AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Choroico AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Quintay AFC's Timeteo Mallorquin got a free kick in the 69th minute. Nacho Pincheira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alipio Azócar in the 71st minute of play. Angelino Guardas stood somewhat misplaced when Bernardo Besa came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 74 minute. Alipio Azócar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nacho Pincheira having to interfere. Jerardo Mamani kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Julián Fredes's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Angelino Guardas - 1-2 was put on the score board in the 88th minute. Nacho Pincheira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alonzo Guajardo in the 92nd minute of the match. The supporters of Quintay AFC booed when Choroico AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteban Carnevalli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nacho Pincheira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alonzo Guajardo in the 93rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aristides Illanes in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Angelino Guardas saved Quintay AFC from getting behind. Choroico AFC played a much better game than Quintay AFC and deserved their victory. The Quintay AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
