Edgar Mery breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 12 minutes into the game, Los Chapes FC's Jorge Vicente Philippi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgar Mery made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 18th minute, one of Duplijsa:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Duplijsa. In the 19th minute there was a penalty for Los Chapes FC. Enric Ubilla stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Edgar Mery. 1-2. Lucián Marasso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ubaldo Matildo Madden in the 23rd minute. Lucián Marasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cresenciano Abufom in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute Jorge Vicente Philippi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Mery saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Duplijsa's Edgar Mery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Vicente Philippi in the 29th minute of play. After having played for 35 minutes, Modestio Abasolo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Chapes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Modestio Abasolo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Cresenciano Abufom came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Duplijsa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cresenciano Abufom couldn't finish the play. After 42 minutes of play, Los Chapes FC's Modestio Abasolo made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgar Mery was left in no man's land by his defense there! Justino Warnes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Modestio Abasolo made a kick off. Duplijsa's Edgar Mery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Modestio Abasolo in the 52nd minute of play. Modestio Abasolo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgar Mery didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jorge Vicente Philippi went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Jorge Vicente Philippi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 70thth minute, Edgar Mery skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 77th minute, Jorge Vicente Philippi fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 82 minutes, Modestio Abasolo made it 1-5 with a short kick to the right side. Duplijsa's Edgar Mery tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Los Chapes FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Nauzet Gaymer hit a great ball. In the 87th minute, Jorge Vicente Philippi made a precise shot to the right of Edgar Mery. Duplijsa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. In the 92nd minute, Cresenciano Abufom left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Duplijsa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-6. When the match was over Los Chapes FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Duplijsa throughout the match.
