The player immediately received a yellow card. Hermenegildo Catalán hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Alexis Becerra struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Abdul Alava didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viluyo. If Odol Astigueta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdul Alava took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alirio Arlegui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abdul Alava was a little too slow when Alexis Becerra got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-1. If Alirio Arlegui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viluyo's Alexis Becerra got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 36 in the game by Alirio Arlegui from a close distance when the talented Abdul Alava managed to make a qualified save. Boroa's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, Viluyo's Lolo Paravic got a free kick in the 40th minute. After 42 played minutes Boroa got a freekick which was hit by Hermenegildo Catalán. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Alirio Arlegui made the kick off in the second half. Abdul Alava didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexis Becerra went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 56th minute, Esteban José Laferte made a precise shot to the right of Abdul Alava. Boroa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Esteban José Laferte took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abdul Alava. Abdul Alava dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. After having played for 70 minutes, Esteban José Laferte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Viluyo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Esteban José Laferte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alirio Arlegui in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abdul Alava saved Boroa from getting behind. If Alexis Becerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boroa's Abdul Alava played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alirio Arlegui in the 78th minute of play. When Viluyo's Alirio Arlegui in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Boroa's goalie prevented a goal. Bairon Barrasa's late challenge caught a Viluyo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bairon Barrasa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 81st match minute, Boroa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bairon Barrasa to maneuver through the defense. Esteban José Laferte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdul Alava having to interfere. Constancio Quevedo was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Orlín Arriola capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Orlín Arriola really showed his touch with that goal: 4-2. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 5-2 when Alirio Arlegui sped through Boroa's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Abdul Alava.
