Ofelio Riffo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 21st minute Casimiro Urra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Román Harriet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Chuac booed when Rodeito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mercé Gronows didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Rodeito FC's goalkeeper Román Harriet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Casimiro Urra. Clemente Puelles succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 27th playminute. Román Harriet made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Haroldo Montero sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Casimiro Urra made a kick off. Haroldo Montero charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Haroldo Montero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Chuac getting a freekick after 51 minutes play.
