Spectators: 6695 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 0) Lázaro Lambert made the kick off and thus started the match. Constantino Gilberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Saúl Davy having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xabel Iriart in the 9th minute of play forced Mulchen AFC's goalkeeper Carlos Saúl Davy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 11 minutes, Erik Maffioletti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mulchen AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erik Maffioletti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 13 minutes into the game, Ángel Azoca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mulchen AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Universidad de Chile the free kick. After a rather tough play, Mulchen AFC's Ángel Azoca got a free kick in the 13th minute. Celino Mercado charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celino Mercado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A hard shot by Ángel Almadel from long distance, 20 minutes into the match, got Demesio Carmona's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Lázaro Lambert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Demesio Carmona tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erik Maffioletti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 28 minutes into the game, Lázaro Lambert recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Demesio Carmona. Lázaro Lambert showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Universidad de Chile's Demesio Carmona proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Universidad de Chile from getting a goal against them. Carlos Saúl Davy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xabel Iriart in the 40th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Mulchen AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Xabel Iriart came free, but Carlos Saúl Davy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Xabel Iriart to strike the kick off in the second half. Xabel Iriart struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Carlos Saúl Davy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Universidad de Chile. Carlos Saúl Davy came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Universidad de Chile's Constantino Gilberto. But to his dismay, Constantino Gilberto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Theobald Pantoja kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Universidad de Chile's Franco Zapata got a free kick in the 58th minute. 61 minutes into the game, Lázaro Lambert cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Demesio Carmona was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 71 minutes, Lázaro Lambert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mulchen AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lázaro Lambert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Xabel Iriart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Demesio Carmona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lázaro Lambert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Demesio Carmona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Maffioletti in the 77th minute of play. In the 81st match minute, Mulchen AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ángel Azoca to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th minute, Erik Maffioletti left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mulchen AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Carlos Saúl Davy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Constantino Gilberto in the 91st minute. When Constantino Gilberto came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Universidad de Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Constantino Gilberto couldn't finish the play.
