The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eliseo Tejada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jose Ramon Menarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Carahue AFC's Juan Estevan Rondón proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Carahue AFC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Carahue AFC's Rollo Anders got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 12th minute Odín Galeno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Estevan Rondón saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Carahue AFC's Juan Estevan Rondón got control of the ball when Luis María Aeta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carahue AFC's Jose Ramon Menarte got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eliseo Tejada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elías Zenteno, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Jose Ramon Menarte took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eliseo Tejada. Eliseo Tejada dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Eliseo Tejada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elías Zenteno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Bayron Cádiz fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Concepcion FC's protests and gave Bayron Cádiz a yellow card for diving instead. Bayron Cádiz hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elías Zenteno was the one to do the kick off. Juan Estevan Rondón came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Real Concepcion FC's Odín Galeno. But to his dismay, Odín Galeno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Rollo Anders received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eliseo Tejada came out and tried to block the shot, but Rollo Anders slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 57th minute. After having played for 64 minutes, Luis María Aeta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Concepcion FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis María Aeta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute Luis María Aeta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Estevan Rondón saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliseo Tejada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rollo Anders in the 68th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Odín Galeno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Concepcion FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Odín Galeno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Estevan Rondón breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Odín Galeno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elías Zenteno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carahue AFC's Jose Ramon Menarte got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 90 minutes into the game, Jose Ramon Menarte recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eliseo Tejada. Jose Ramon Menarte showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. When Luis María Aeta came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Real Concepcion FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis María Aeta couldn't finish the play. 96 minutes into the match, Luis María Aeta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juan Estevan Rondón. Carahue AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis María Aeta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4.
