Andrés Albano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Andrés Albano in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fausto Arata, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 9th minute, Adelio Basualto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Deportes Puerto Montt 3.0's Cristóbal Puebla got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fausto Arata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrés Albano, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 14 minutes into the game, Manuel Antonio Ardura cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Fausto Arata was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Andrés Albano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fausto Arata read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Gaston Arlegui got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristóbal Puebla was extremely unlucky when he, in the 21st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Andrés Albano put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Fausto Arata. Fausto Arata was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristóbal Puebla showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 27 minute of play. In the 31st minute Andrés Albano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Arata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Universidad de Concepción's Fausto Arata got control of the ball when Maximino Droguett tried to sneak it across the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Universidad de Concepción's goalkeeper Fausto Arata had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manuel Antonio Ardura. When Andrés Albano came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Deportes Puerto Montt 3.0 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrés Albano couldn't finish the play. Fausto Arata came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Deportes Puerto Montt 3.0's Andrés Albano. But to his dismay, Andrés Albano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Andrés Albano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Fausto Arata made a huge save. Fausto Arata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrés Albano, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juan Carlos Galiano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Universidad de Concepción's zone, Andrés Albano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Arata came out of the goal and Andrés Albano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gaston Arlegui blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fausto Arata having to make a save. Fausto Arata stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristóbal Puebla's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Fausto Arata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Antonio Ardura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Deportes Puerto Montt 3.0 booed when Universidad de Concepción was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermegildo Payten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fausto Arata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristóbal Puebla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th play minute Teodoro Abaroa came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Conrado Davy. 4-1. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Andrés Albano put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Fausto Arata. When Deportes Puerto Montt 3.0's Andrés Albano in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Universidad de Concepción's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andrés Albano in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fausto Arata saved Universidad de Concepción from getting behind. Fausto Arata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóbal Puebla in the 92nd minute of the match. Andrés Albano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Deportes Puerto Montt 3.0 walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
