The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Saturnín Pantaleon was the one to do the kick off. Dalmacio Najera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. After 82 played minutes Balsas got a freekick which was hit by Adrián Bolivar. In the 85th minute, Dalmacio Najera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Balsas's goal looked a bit too open when Dalmacio Najera came free, but Luis Alberto Samaniego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Chaulinec booed when Balsas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrián Bolivar didn't get a good kick on the ball.
