An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Jose Antonucci in the 15th minute of play forced Canadilla AFC's goalkeeper Leandro Cabezas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Honorio Alegría had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Jose Antonucci took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leandro Cabezas. Leandro Cabezas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Honorio Alegría received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Leandro Cabezas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leandro Cabezas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Jose Antonucci in the 25th minute of play. After 27 minutes, Urtsín Subercaseaux mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guadaba FC and the Canadilla AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 28th minute, Normando Abrego reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Remicio Droste. The goal made the score 1-1. If Normando Abrego had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Canadilla AFC's Leandro Cabezas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorio Alegría in the 34th minute of play. Honorio Alegría sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Canadilla AFC defense, Juan Jose Antonucci kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leandro Cabezas. The Canadilla AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leandro Cabezas should have stopped the shot. Bernardino Oropesa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remicio Droste having to interfere. Juan Jose Antonucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Cabezas having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juan Jose Antonucci was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Canadilla AFC booed when Guadaba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horacio Mattensohn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remicio Droste came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Canadilla AFC's Honorato Magallanes. But to his dismay, Honorato Magallanes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Canadilla AFC's Lucio Salva has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 59th minute. Canadilla AFC's Bernardino Oropesa got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardino Oropesa in the 64th minute of play forced Guadaba FC's goalkeeper Remicio Droste to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernardino Oropesa in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remicio Droste prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 67th minute Normando Abrego shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remicio Droste saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucio Salva during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lucio Salva kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Guadaba FC's Juan Jose Antonucci got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 73 played minutes Canadilla AFC got a freekick which was hit by Lucio Salva. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
