Quitrico FC's Sisebuto Edwards got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ramon María Alba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yoel Adriazola's late challenge caught a Molinero FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. But to his dismay, Sisebuto Edwards quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 28th minute Celestino Tagle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florencio Mowat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Quitrico FC were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Molinero FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jacobo Matte took the corner. The corner led Quitrico FC's Jacobo Matte to fire away a dangerous shot which Florencio Mowat despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Hipolito Formas fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quitrico FC's protests and gave Hipolito Formas a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Quitrico FC's Hipolito Formas got a free kick in the 39th minute. Ramon María Alba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Lolo Alcayaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lolo Alcayaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon María Alba in the 65th minute of play. In the 68th match minute, Quitrico FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobo Matte to maneuver through the defense. Hipolito Formas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Florencio Mowat made a huge save. Florencio Mowat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celestino Tagle, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Ricardo De Smet d`Olbecke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lolo Alcayaga having to interfere. The supporters of Molinero FC booed when Quitrico FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hipolito Formas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the game's 83rd minute Molinero FC's Quintán Aranibar took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Lolo Alcayaga and thus the score was 1-2. 86 minutes into the match, Molinero FC's goalkeeper Florencio Mowat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sisebuto Edwards. Quitrico FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
