When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Manuel Gutiérrez took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Lolo Alcayaga to make any attempt to save it. Siluna Roldán's late challenge caught a Quitrico FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Siluna Roldán helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Quitrico FC booed when Deportes Limache was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siluna Roldán didn't get a good kick on the ball. Quitrico FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jacobo Matte in the 11th minute. In the 14th minute of the match Rómulo Berguecio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lolo Alcayaga skillfully saved the ball. When Casimír Pimentel fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportes Limache's protests and gave Casimír Pimentel a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Deportes Limache's Casimír Pimentel got a free kick in the 18th minute. Sisebuto Edwards recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leandro Majeux fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lolo Alcayaga having to interfere. Alvino Fresno charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alvino Fresno the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 32 played minutes Quitrico FC got a freekick which was hit by Alvino Fresno. In the 33rd minute, Leandro Majeux fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Lolo Alcayaga, passed just outside the right post. 34 minutes into the game, Yoel Adriazola was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quitrico FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportes Limache the free kick. In the 34th minute, Yoel Adriazola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Leandro Majeux came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Deportes Limache fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leandro Majeux couldn't finish the play. Leandro Majeux was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 37th minute. Deportes Limache's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Manuel Gutiérrez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lolo Alcayaga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Deportes Limache's Remicio Milan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celestino Tagle in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Celestino Tagle to make the kick off. Celestino Tagle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remicio Milan having to interfere. Quitrico FC's Celestino Tagle was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 53rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. If Manuel Gutiérrez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Gutiérrez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Lolo Alcayaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hipolito Formas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Remicio Milan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Deportes Limache getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Manuel Saa hit a great ball. Sisebuto Edwards struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Remicio Milan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quitrico FC. In the 73rdth minute of the game Manuel Gutiérrez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quitrico FC's Lolo Alcayaga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 76th minute, Sisebuto Edwards ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Remicio Milan was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Manuel Gutiérrez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lolo Alcayaga having to interfere. Leandro Majeux sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 93 played minutes Quitrico FC got a freekick which was hit by Hipolito Formas. In the 93rd minute of the match Rómulo Berguecio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lolo Alcayaga showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leandro Majeux in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lolo Alcayaga saved Quitrico FC from getting behind. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Deportes Limache fans cheered their team off the field, for while Quitrico FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
