In the 4thth minute of the game Higinio Ferraro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quillagua AFC's Ezmundo Arriaran was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Higinio Ferraro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Ignacio Claro got free with Ezmundo Arriaran in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ezmundo Arriaran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Higinio Ferraro in the 11th minute of the match. Conrado Droste sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filipo Ballesteros in the 20th minute of play forced Cautenisca's goalkeeper Eustaquio Diaz de León to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quillagua AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Higinio Ferraro 29 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. If Higinio Ferraro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Ignacio Claro succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 36th playminute. In the 41st minute Higinio Ferraro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ezmundo Arriaran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 48th minute, Filipo Ballesteros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Higinio Ferraro was the one to do the kick off. Eustaquio Diaz de León showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filipo Ballesteros, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Conrado Droste fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustaquio Diaz de León having to interfere. Higinio Ferraro struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Ezmundo Arriaran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cautenisca. After having played for 65 minutes, Francisco Ignacio Claro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cautenisca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Ignacio Claro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Higinio Ferraro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eustaquio Diaz de León made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Conrado Droste sent off a good shot on target. 78 minutes into the match, Cautenisca's goal looked a bit too open when Filipo Ballesteros came free, but Eustaquio Diaz de León reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francisco Ignacio Claro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezmundo Arriaran having to interfere. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cautenisca fans cheered their team off the field, for while Quillagua AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
