The supporters of Sauzal booed when Cautenisca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaiás Basurto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Higinio Ferraro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Quesada having to interfere. If Isaiás Basurto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ariel Quesada stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Higinio Ferraro's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. If Higinio Ferraro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Higinio Ferraro took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ariel Quesada to make any attempt to save it. In the 31st minute, Sergio Aliaga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Sauzal's Telmo Melinao got a free kick in the 38th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Cautenisca's Alfonso Perochena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ariel Quesada narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 45th minute Osvaldo Albarran suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 45 minutes into the game, Héctor David Urenda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cautenisca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sauzal the free kick. Eustaquio Diaz de León showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartolomé Abumohor, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Higinio Ferraro was the one to do the kick off. The Cautenisca fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when Cautenisca's Higinio Ferraro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Cautenisca getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Higinio Ferraro hit a great ball. Higinio Ferraro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ariel Quesada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Higinio Ferraro, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. 5-0 became the score in the 96th minute when Higinio Ferraro elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Cautenisca's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
