But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roque Noriega couldn't finish the play. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Renaissance de Salé's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Danilo Quintano was slow to take the kick. During this time Universidad Catolica's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Universidad Catolica's Danilo Quintano to fire away a dangerous shot which Emmanuel Apaulaza despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 16th minute Genaro Jullian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emmanuel Apaulaza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roque Noriega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Emmanuel Apaulaza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ramon María Iturriaga made a kick off. Renaissance de Salé's Emmanuel Apaulaza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roque Noriega in the 52nd minute of play. Gaitano Mellibosky kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Genaro Jullian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emmanuel Apaulaza having to interfere. Ferrando Leal didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Renaissance de Salé's Ramon María Iturriaga shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Roque Noriega recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 65 minutes into the match, Renaissance de Salé's goal looked a bit too open when Roque Noriega came free, but Emmanuel Apaulaza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Universidad Catolica players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
