Justo Millar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emmanuel Apaulaza having to interfere. If Rollo Serna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dumestre's Salomón Octavio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramon María Iturriaga in the 16th minute of play. Salomón Octavio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramon María Iturriaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Renaissance de Salé's zone, Rollo Serna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emmanuel Apaulaza came out of the goal and Rollo Serna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Renaissance de Salé getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Gaitano Mellibosky hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rollo Serna got free with Emmanuel Apaulaza in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Renaissance de Salé's Gaitano Mellibosky got a free kick in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Renaissance de Salé's goal looked a bit too open when Justo Millar came free, but Emmanuel Apaulaza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 31 minutes, Ramon María Iturriaga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Renaissance de Salé's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramon María Iturriaga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Renaissance de Salé booed when Dumestre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Luis Novoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Justo Millar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the match, Renaissance de Salé's goal looked a bit too open when Justo Millar came free, but Emmanuel Apaulaza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Dumestre defense, Ramon María Iturriaga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Salomón Octavio. The Dumestre fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Salomón Octavio should have stopped the shot. In the 47th minute, Renaissance de Salé's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rollo Serna fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.

If Ramon María Iturriaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Salomón Octavio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramon María Iturriaga in the 54th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaitano Mellibosky in the 55th minute of play forced Dumestre's goalkeeper Salomón Octavio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Justo Millar scored 1-1 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emmanuel Apaulaza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 62nd minute, Justo Millar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emmanuel Apaulaza was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. If Erasmo Elorreaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Justo Millar came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Dumestre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Justo Millar couldn't finish the play. Ramon María Iturriaga kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Renaissance de Salé's goal looked a bit too open when Rollo Serna came free, but Emmanuel Apaulaza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Damario Bruce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Salomón Octavio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramon María Iturriaga, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Dumestre's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
