Chinchin's Constantino Pastene managed to work through Universidad Catolica's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Constantino Pastene dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 23rd minute, Genaro Jullian made a precise shot to the right of Siluna Yevenez. Chinchin's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Roque Noriega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Siluna Yevenez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantino Pastene in the 35th minute of play forced Universidad Catolica's goalkeeper Ferrando Leal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 38 minutes, Roque Noriega managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Universidad Catolica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roque Noriega was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Constantino Pastene sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roque Noriega was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 45th minute. Universidad Catolica's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roque Noriega to make the kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Val Portes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chinchin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Val Portes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 57 in the game by Val Portes from a close distance when the talented Ferrando Leal managed to make a qualified save. Universidad Catolica's players were relieved. Siluna Yevenez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roque Noriega in the 60th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eleuterio Pradenas during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eleuterio Pradenas hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Ferrando Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantino Pastene in the 82nd minute of the match. After 83 played minutes Chinchin got a freekick which was hit by Ofelio Sol. After 84 played minutes Danilo Quintano shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Chinchin's Siluna Yevenez to catch but Danilo Quintano was lucky. It became 3-0 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Val Portes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Universidad Catolica had won after a very even match.
