The coaching staff of SIMANCA F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and José Julio Bombal had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 7th minute of the game. One of SIMANCA F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Araucana AFC:s goal. In the 10th minute there was a penalty for Araucana AFC. Firmín Saravia stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Benito Haitz. 0-1. SIMANCA F.C.'s Benito Haitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxín Magnolfi in the 14th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manu Alderete during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maxín Magnolfi got free with Benito Haitz in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 57th minute, Lander Quero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 60 minutes into the game, Pacífico White cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Benito Haitz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Miroslav Krajíček had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. After having played for 88 minutes, Lander Quero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SIMANCA F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Lander Quero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emiliano Placente didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miroslav Krajíček went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Araucana AFC's zone, Miroslav Krajíček stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emiliano Placente came out of the goal and Miroslav Krajíček tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95th minute, Lander Quero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the SIMANCA F.C. players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
