The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomás Cervantes got free with Fabián Lyon in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 12 minutes into the match, Chillaiza FC's goalkeeper Fabián Lyon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomás Cervantes. Fabián Lyon made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Tomás Cervantes sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Puconu getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Tomás Cervantes hit a great ball. After having played for 18 minutes, Francisco Miguel Alvar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Puconu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Miguel Alvar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 22nd minute, Leopoldo Hormeño ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Filiberto Moxo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Tomás Cervantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Odol Zamorano scored 0-2 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filiberto Moxo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tomás Cervantes might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabián Lyon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomás Cervantes ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpected shot in the 33rd minute by Tomás Cervantes got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 36th minute, Francisco Miguel Alvar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomás Cervantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Francisco Miguel Alvar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When Puconu's Francisco Miguel Alvar in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Chillaiza FC booed when Puconu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Ignacio Cardoso didn't get a good kick on the ball.
