Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ireno Benavente to make the kick off. If Jim Kvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inocente Cuadros in the 89th minute of play forced Mendoza AFC's goalkeeper Pere Alert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laureano Schmidt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ireno Benavente's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Mendoza AFC played a much better game than Crea Espacio and deserved their victory. The Crea Espacio players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
