Spectators: 6850 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1702, VIP seats: 148) Paulino Sotelo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After some careless play in the Abanico defense, Casimiro Portal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karlos Mella. The Abanico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karlos Mella should have stopped the shot. Karlos Mella made an important save on a dangerous shot by Casimiro Portal in the 9th minute. After 12 minutes, Francisco Antonio Zapata mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Abanico and the COLO-COLO--THRASH FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Casimiro Portal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karlos Mella having to interfere. Karlos Mella showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulino Sotelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Abanico's Roy Maeztu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zenón Jarabran made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Abanico's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Paulino Sotelo 29 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Abanico's zone, Casimiro Portal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karlos Mella came out of the goal and Casimiro Portal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 40 minutes into the match, Paulino Sotelo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Karlos Mella. Abanico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulino Sotelo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Dionisio Bueras kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Toni Garza took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Zenón Jarabran to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Abanico getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Dionisio Bueras hit a great ball. Karlos Mella came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by COLO-COLO--THRASH FC's Casimiro Portal. But to his dismay, Casimiro Portal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Toni Garza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zenón Jarabran having to interfere. COLO-COLO--THRASH FC's Zenón Jarabran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save COLO-COLO--THRASH FC from getting a goal against them. In the 69th minute, Toni Garza reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Zenón Jarabran. The goal made the score 4-3. An unexpected shot in the 74th minute by Roy Maeztu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in COLO-COLO--THRASH FC's zone, Toni Garza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zenón Jarabran came out of the goal and Toni Garza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulino Sotelo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulino Sotelo in the 89th minute of play forced Abanico's goalkeeper Karlos Mella to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 92 minutes, Albano Berau mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the COLO-COLO--THRASH FC and the Abanico players grew even worse after the yellow card. A hard shot by Francisco Antonio Zapata from long distance, 94 minutes into the match, got Zenón Jarabran's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Domingo Mannhardt hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Roy Maeztu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zenón Jarabran having to interfere. Many of Abanico's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Abanico may have spent more time on the ball, but COLO-COLO--THRASH FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
