Tanio Vergara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alifonso Deramond in the 10th minute of play forced Tunga's goalkeeper Armando Carrión to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Liberto Dundan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardino Astete having to interfere. In the 28th minute Vincente Suloaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Carrión saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Tunga getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Tanio Vergara hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Guabun AFC's Fabián Puertocarrero tried to score from far away in the 31st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The attack was good, but when Vincente Suloaga in the 33rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Armando Carrión showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alifonso Deramond, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. When Mark Torrealba fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guabun AFC's protests and gave Mark Torrealba a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Guabun AFC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Mark Torrealba hit a great ball. If Alifonso Deramond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alifonso Deramond received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Armando Carrión tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Iván Luis Astorga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Liberto Dundan to make the kick off. Alifonso Deramond who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Armando Carrión when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 56 played minutes, Tunga's Humberto Pinuer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bernardino Astete came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tunga reached it. Ludovico Larrañeta hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Bernardino Astete made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liberto Dundan in the 64th minute of play. Alifonso Deramond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the match, Tunga's Liberto Dundan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernardino Astete narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Guabun AFC's Bernardino Astete played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Berrio in the 85th minute of play. A collision led to Guabun AFC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. José Alejandro Sagredo hit a great ball. Bernardino Astete made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Orostegui in the 96th minute of play. Tunga's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
