After 20 minutes, Adam Marull mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maipu FC and the Imperio Novenin players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th minute, one of Maipu FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Maipu FC. In the 22nd minute, Yeray Villalba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nafarroa De la Sotta was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Maipu FC's zone, Tinguaro Ocon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nafarroa De la Sotta came out of the goal and Tinguaro Ocon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Danél L´Hotelier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liberto Noriega having to interfere. Tinguaro Ocon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elizalde Irizar's late challenge caught a Imperio Novenin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elizalde Irizar helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Imperio Novenin booed when Maipu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elizalde Irizar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Urquiza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nafarroa De la Sotta having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Danél L´Hotelier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maipu FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Danél L´Hotelier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Liberto Noriega breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Horacio Antipa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 51st match minute, Imperio Novenin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albano Landman to maneuver through the defense. 54 minutes into the game, Albano Landman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Imperio Novenin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maipu FC the free kick. Albano Landman kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. If Elizalde Irizar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Liberto Noriega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabricio Blondel, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Liberto Noriega didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Danél L´Hotelier went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 64th minute, Fabricio Blondel made a precise shot to the right of Liberto Noriega. Imperio Novenin's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 71 minutes into the game, Maipu FC's Fabricio Blondel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Liberto Noriega made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Liberto Noriega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danél L´Hotelier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nafarroa De la Sotta was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Marcos Urquiza capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marcos Urquiza really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. Danél L´Hotelier might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Liberto Noriega. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Danél L´Hotelier ran back to his position shaking his head.
