Orlín Alert didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Loreno Paillao went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baldomero Labbé during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th minute of the match Rogelio Báez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lois Noguera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Compi's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Aichele came free, but Lois Noguera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Aichele in the 21st minute of play forced Compi's goalkeeper Lois Noguera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mónico Otero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mónico Otero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlín Alert having to interfere. Rogelio Báez charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rogelio Báez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 32 played minutes Algorta got a freekick which was hit by Rogelio Báez. Loreno Paillao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the game, Compi's Mónico Otero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Orlín Alert made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Loreno Paillao managed to get in a good position for a shot. Compi's supporters rose to their feet, but Loreno Paillao was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orlín Alert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lois Noguera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Aichele in the 45th minute of the match. If Israel Lantaño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Solezzi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Juan Raúl Ramos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th minute Francisco Solezzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlín Alert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 61 in the game by Abundio Grajales from a close distance when the talented Orlín Alert managed to make a qualified save. Algorta's players were relieved. Mónico Otero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Orlín Alert made a huge save. In the 68th minute, Abundio Grajales got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Loreno Paillao came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Compi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Loreno Paillao couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Algorta's zone, Abundio Grajales stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlín Alert came out of the goal and Abundio Grajales tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abundio Grajales fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlín Alert having to interfere. Orlín Alert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loreno Paillao, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Compi's goal looked a bit too open when Israel Lantaño came free, but Lois Noguera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Ignacio Aichele notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Compi's Lois Noguera. Lois Noguera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
